Back then when politics was just a subject not an issue.

It’s not that I don’t believe in politics. It’s part of faith, to believe, to correct, to stand up for what is right. I just need to read up more. And there are many things I need to be sure of. I was reading an article on Islamic views of a public demonstration and it got me thinking. To demonstrate for what is right is fine, provided the leader of such has the same views- one that doesn’t clash with Islamic rights and that the people involved in the demonstration must be ethical.

But reading through some of the political background around here, I’m not sure what to believe. The government may be faulty at some areas but they have done good to me even for a bit- subsidizing my education while pembangkang’s too have some good views that I may or may not agree on. Which leaves me in the middle. Here’s a tweet from Ustaz MAZA which went like this:

"Menyokong beberapa idea pembangkang bukan bererti menentang kerajaan. Menyokong beberapa idea kerajaan bukan bererti menentang pembangkang. Otak kita mesti lebih luas."

Until my leaders show a relatively clean reputation, only then will I be able to actually see, believe, support.

So why am I entitled to vote at this age again? I still feel like a 16 year old.

P/s: Congratulations BERSIH 2.0 for ending the demonstration in peace. :) Semoga tuntutan dikotakan.
