Abdominal pain at the umbilical area. Onset- half a minute prior to ward rounds. Flatulence. The urge to defecate under circumstances. . . Pain. Pain. Pain. Duration- for as long as ward rounds take. Exacerbating factor- doctors ? Cases? Relieved after every ward round. Severity- six out of ten.
But today I experienced giddiness, palpitations, sweating and nausea. Ended up vomiting in the ward (thank God I was in time for the toilet otherwise.. funny smell all over). Sat by the staircase like an emotional kid, couldn’t care less of the doctors who walked past. I felt weak. Relieved by Mentos.
And I thought breakfast could withstand you the entire day.
Diagnosis made by labmates: Ward Round Syndrome.
